Design Disruptiors

DESIGN DISRUPTORS is a documentary about exploring design power in leading digital companies and products. Interviewed several design experts to share how the concept of design disruption has revolutionized the rise of design. Besides, every design expert interviewed will bring unique information that can provide a good understanding of their company ’s design-driven business approach.

The part in this documentary that attracted me and gave me another understanding of the design was the four tiers of design. The four tiers are visual design, interface design, UX design, and product design mentioned by Daniel Burka, the design partner of Google Ventures. It's a process from producing an idea and articulate that for everyone else to does it fit into the entire context of both our product as well as someone's life?

What design is has to guess and tested incessantly, and have to push it until it breaks or where we find our weakness and eliminated any risk from the question. A designer has to find different people to be with, to be uncomfortable and design to make people love it, experience it.

The word that touched me in this documentary is saying by Branden Kowitz, a design partner of Google Ventures, "We can build anything. The question is, what will make us happy and fulfilled? What is the future that we want to build together?"
